Founder/President

I'm often asked what drew me to financial planning, and the answer is simple: I believe everyone deserves to feel confident about their financial future. What started as a love for numbers eventually became something much deeper: a calling to help families navigate one of the most important aspects of their lives.

My path here wasn't entirely straightforward. After graduating from Hofstra University with a bachelor's degree in accounting, I began my career as a CPA with a large accounting firm, where I discovered how much I enjoyed helping people solve complex financial puzzles. Later, as CFO of a fashion company, I gained valuable experience seeing how financial decisions impact real businesses and real families. But it was earning my CFP® designation that truly allowed me to serve people the way I'd always wanted to, which led me to found Punturo Financial Services, Inc.

With over a quarter of a century of experience, I've developed a unique multi-disciplinary approach to help business owners, professionals, and executives retire in the most tax smart and efficient way. What excites me most about this work is the perspective my dual certifications provide. As a CPA, I understand the intricate details of tax planning and can help you keep more of what you earn. As a CFP®, I can see how those tax strategies fit into your bigger picture: your retirement timeline, your children's education, your estate planning goals, even your philanthropic interests. This combination allows me to provide comprehensive wealth enhancement strategies, like having a "personal CFO" working on your behalf.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Your financial plan should be as unique as your family's goals and circumstances. Whether you're a business owner planning an exit strategy, a physician managing irregular income, or a retiree wanting to ensure your legacy, I take the time to understand what matters most to you. Then we build a plan that serves those priorities.

For me, this work is deeply personal. When I look at your financial situation, I see more than numbers and accounts. I see your hopes for the future and the people you care about most. That's why I approach every client relationship with the same dedication and care I'd want for my own family. Your financial confidence is my top priority, and I'm honored to be part of your journey.

Beyond client work, I'm actively engaged in the financial planning community. I'm a member of the Personal Financial Planning section of the American Institute of CPAs, the Estate Planning Council, and the Financial Planning Association®. As a Continuing Professional Educator for CPAs, I've had the privilege of training attorneys and financial advisors on advanced tax, retirement, and estate planning techniques. I previously hosted "The Punturo Financial Fitness Show" on 103.9 FM in Long Island, where I shared insights on financial planning and wealth management with the community.

For several years, I have served as Co-Chair and a Sponsor for an annual fundraising event for the Long Island Alzheimer's & Dementia Center (LIAD). This cause is deeply meaningful to me, and I'm committed to supporting families facing these challenges.

Above all, I cherish time spent with my wife Kathi, our three daughters (Kristina, Victoria, and Alexa), and our two sons-in-law, Joseph and Paul. When I'm not helping clients or spending time with family, you'll find me staying fit or out on the golf course.
